Alleluia

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” John 1:14

We do not deserve it yet God gave us the greatest gift we can ever have in his Son Jesus. Friends this Christmas I encourage you to pause and with thankful hearts give praise to Him who reigns forevermore.

I hope you enjoy listening to my new song and lyric video Alleluia. Have a Merry Christmas!

Glory to God

Inspired by a recent sermon series at my church “In the beginning”, I wrote this song to remind us this Christmas to stop and marvel at who Jesus is.

Music on the Green

Had the pleasure of playing a few songs with some great friends Paul Shepanski, Scott Walters and Emily Stedman at Music on the Green tonight. #thecardinals #weekonthegreen #norwestanglican IMG_3049

I’ll never let those memories fade

Here is a song I wrote for my Grandfather “Pardy” who recently passed away on the 20th September 2015 and is now with his Lord and Saviour. I was honoured to be able to play this at his funeral with Adam Lear, Nicole Smith, Bronwyn Crossie and Josh Lear.

Songs For All Souls

What a great night playing with my band at Songs for All Souls.

The bands arrived for set up and sound check around 4:30pm and by 7:15pm a crowd of about 130 had converged on All Souls Church Leichhardt. With Richard Fenton engineering the sound for the night we were all set for a night of crisp and clear sounds from all the artists.

My band opened the night and it was a great chance to give the songs I have penned for my upcoming EP some airplay. As it was an acoustic night, only my keyboard player Mark and my bass player Josh joined me on stage (missing were my electric guitarist James and my drummer Tim). Mark and Josh did a brilliant job and shows the hours put in to rehearse and develop these songs.

After my band, we then got to hear songs and their stories from Ruth Shooter, the very polished Greg Cooper and finally my great friends and commendable hosts Tribe of Sparrows. Each artist brought their unique style and if given the chance again, I would happily do another gig with these great song writers.

Speaking with Tribe of Sparrows post the event they commented on the many conversations had with people afterwards who remarked how refreshed they felt & how much they had enjoyed the night.

“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise” Psalm 47:6-7

Glory to His Name

Wrote this song using the words of an old hymn written in 1878 by Elisha. A Hoffman.
